Who doesn’t love the great outdoors? If it’s is a lovely day perfect for a picnic or a good ‘ole fashioned barbecue then the Fuego Element Portable Gas Grill is a wonderful grilling companion to have by your side.
I used the word ‘companion’ because the Fuego Element would serve as a wonderful one for your portable grilling needs. While most other portable gas grills are either bulky or badly designed, the Fuego Element EP01AMG Portable Gas Grill is sleek, stylish, and compact. It is to portable grilling what a MacBook Air is to laptops.
Many portable grills I’ve tired aren’t truly ‘portable’ and will sometimes pose issues if you try to use them as such. They are not as easy (as the Fuego Element) to bring to a different place if you make any impromptu plans for a picnic with friends and family. Some are also no only heavy but not easy to maintain either – you might have cleanup issues, which should be minimized as much as possible in the case of portable grilling. The Fuego Element Portable Gas Grill, on the other hand is very light at about 15 pounds and has been designed to be carried very easily.

Fuego Element Portable Gas Grill: Pros & Cons
First off, as mentioned earlier, the Fuego Element Portable Gas Grill comes in a splendidly modern look – it wins points for style. It is certainly one of the best looking portable gas grills I’ve seen. The compact size and the colors come together to make the Fuego Element Portable Gas Grill an extremely attractive gas grill!
The Fuego Element Portable Gas Grill is also one of the most functional portable gas grills around – with a pretty brilliant design that makes it easy and hassle-free to use. What I really liked were the folding handles that can become its legs, offering convenience and absolute ease of portability. The grill also has a clip-on shoulder strap – as shown in the picture above – that makes it even easier to carry anywhere you want.
This is a great feature, since you’ll probably have other things to carry with you when preparing for abarbecue or picnic. Being compact in size it can be easily placed and stored anywhere you want – which makes it just great for picnics when you can have a simple grill beside you doing the cooking. The steel lid is also a great help in maintaining high temperatures – especially when outdoors where there’s wind – and is very easy to open or close.
The 159 square inch of grilling space on the Fuego Element Portable Gas Grill is also surprisingly generous considering its compact size – you can cook up to 4 steaks at a go on this beauty. The steel burner, at 8,000 BTU/hr, performs adequately well for cooking steaks and whatnot – I haven’t had an issue with it.
And now, the cons.
It seems that while the Fuego Element Portable Gas Grill has a brilliant design for function, the actual grilling aspects don’t work superbly well – as compared to a Weber grill, for example. For many, the ‘push button’ ignition doesn’t always start up – it is rather faulty, so if you’re looking to get the Fuego Element Portable Gas Grill, it is advisable to have a lighter or matches handy.
One other flaw is that the grease management system for the Fuego Element Portable Gas Grill isn’t secured very well – while it catches grease, it doesn’t stay there because the catcher isn’t exactly secured well – you will have to clear the grease before folding it up to carry it around, or there WILL be leaks!

If you’re someone who isn’t too serious about barbecues and grilling, then this might just be the portable gas grill for you. It is lightweight and hassle-free, and is most suited to those who are just looking for some casual barbecuing and grilling.
Needless to say, this will make for a great bring along at most outings whether they’re to the park or to an adventurous get away with the family.
There are a lot of other portable grill options available but there is nothing like the Fuego Element Portable Gas Grill in terms of design and portability. It is small and light weight while still covering a good grill area, easy to carry and has decent performance. Of all other portable grills, it definitely stands out most for its good looks!
